Green Party Vice Presidential candidate Cheri Honkala is coming to St. Paul on Thursday, October 25th! The 4th CD/St. Paul Green Party is honored to be hosting a party for her at The Amsterdam Bar in downtown St. Paul from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
This is a great opportunity for you to meet this amazing anti-poverty advocate and Minnesota native and support her and Jill Stein in their run for the White House!
There is no cover charge, just order food and drinks and enjoy conversations with Cheri and other progressives!
Parking is free in St. Paul after 5:00 or park next door in the Lawson Ramp. The Cheri Honkala event will be in the party room.

As a formerly homeless single mother, Cheri has been confronting banks and mortgage companies for decades, demanding that they adopt policies to keep families in their homes. A lifelong activist, she has been arrested more than 200 times for civil disobedience and co-founded both the Kensington Welfare Rights Union and the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign. Honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Poor People's Campaign of 1967-68, she inspires a new generation of leaders working to end poverty. Cheri is currently running for vice president on the Green Party ticket.

Come to the Capri Theater on Friday, October 26th to hear Cheri tell her personal story, how her activism was born, how she has made waves and changed lives with her Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, and what she and Jill Stein are accomplishing with their presidential campaign.
Be prepared to be entertained as well as moved during this two-hour event at the Capri Theater in North Minneapolis. A pre-event social begins at 6:30 pm, with the program starting at 7:00 pm, including storytelling, entertainment, and information from coalition partners speaking to the issues of the day. A suggested donation of $10 will help Cheri and the campaign, but everyone is welcome to attend.
Built in 1927, the Capri Theater has a rich, storied history in Minneapolis. Renovated in 2009, the 250-seat Capri is an ideal venue for music, theater, film, dance, spoken word and community forums. The theater is located at 2027 West Broadway in North Minneapolis, just one block east of Penn Avenue North.
